To Keep the Vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Vision National Cadet Corps (NCC) has Initiated a nationwide Flagship programme called Puneet Sagar Abhiyan
Objective: It is to Clean seashores, beaches and other water bodies like rivers and lakes. to remove plastics and other waste materials
Puneet Sagar Abhiyan is being Conducted between 01-05 April 2020 to coincide with National Maritime day
This Flagship programme is Conducted in December last year with 3.9 lakh Cadets from 127 Coastal areas
The Main Purpose of this program is to educate the local public about 'Swach Bharat' and make sure they understand future generations how to keep beaches clean
National Cadet Corps (NCC)
NCC has formed in 1948 with the recommendation of the H.N Hunzu Committee. NCC has a history in the British era in which there was a University corps and University Officer Training Corps
Initially, it was created under the Ministry of Defence 1917 Act. Now NCC has Wings in Army, Navy and Airforce
