Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme
Context
The Rajasthan government has started the Cheif Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme for all in Rajasthan.
Key Points
- Any family in the state can enrol on the scheme.
- The treatment of serious diseases related to Heart, Cancer, Neuro, Covid, Black funges and expensive procedures like Cochlear implant, Bone marrow transplant, Kidney transplant, Heart transplant, Liver transplant, Knee replacement and dialysis is provided under this scheme.
- At both government and private hospitals free of cost.
- More than 12 lakh patients have availed the benefits of free treatment worth approximately 1400 crores.
- Free health insurance of 10 lakh rupees to every family of Rajasthan and also 5 lakh accidental insurance.
- The entire treatment is free in government hospitals including OPD and IPD medicines and tests.
- The facility of cashless treatment to the families of the employees and pensioners under the RGHS along the lines of CGHS.
